Viviane Juguero is a playwright, actress, director, researcher and educator. She is the author of plays, audiovisual scripts, songs, poems, articles and essays staged and published in Brazil and abroad in several languages. As a playwright, her works in the art for children and black dramaturgy stand out. She also works as a director, actress and composer. As an educator, she has taught classes, workshops and lectures at different Universities and institutions, in addition to presenting her research at conferences and seminars in several countries. She is currently on the teaching staff of the Nordic Black Theater in Norway and on the Expert Advisory Board of the CAST-Center for the Arts and Social Transformation at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. She is a Bachelor, Specialist, Master and Doctor in Performing Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. In her PhD, she developed the concept of “radical dramaturgy” in research partially carried out at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States. According to the author, a “radical dramaturgy” assumes responsibility for social justice based on recognising the roots that link aesthetic discourses to establishing social structures through their artistic specificities, in collaboration, but without subordination to other fields of knowledge. As a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Stavanger, Norway, Juguero developed the investigation “Pluriperceptive and Multicultural Theatricalities for Diverse Early Childhoods”, dedicated to recognizing which criteria facilitate the establishment of aesthetic democracy, through equivalent emotional opportunities, based on what she calls “parity in diversity” in relation to “children’s playful logic”. Viviane Juguero is part of several national and international networks, such as the International Association of Theater for Children and Youth (ASSITEJ), through its academic research network (ITYARN), Portuguese-speaking countries and its Brazilian Center (CBTIJ/ASSITEJ Brasil). She is also part of the “Art as Science” project team and the Female Playwrights Group “As DramaturgAs” in Rio Grande do Sul. In addition, she collaborates with artistic and academic activities in countries such as Nigeria, Serbia, Spain and Germany. Como dramaturga destacan sus trabajos en el arte infantil y la dramaturgia negra. También trabaja como directora, actriz y compositora. También forma parte del equipo del proyecto “El arte como ciencia” y del Grupo de dramaturgas femeninas “As DramaturgAs” en Rio Grande do Sul.
